Day of the Dead! (or walking zombie :D)

So much for a day off…. In the craziness of taking 32 credits this semesters is also the fact that we are required to do electives and volunteer work. So when do we have time to do this?
Well, every other week we take a midterm style exam in the 4 core classes (cell physiology, biochemistry, systems of human behavior, and histology/microscopic anatomy). We have 4 hours to do all 4 subject tests. 8am-noon. Then from 1-4pm every Monday with or without the test, I go to preceptorship at the orthopedic specialty clinic. The bonus is supposed to be that the day after these crazy exams is free for the students to volunteer. Well thus far it has just been a day off for me, but that will be changing (more to come on my work with the refugees).
So yesterday was my “day off.” Well I had a lunch meeting, a meeting with world relief, doctor’s appointments, went to the bank/paid bills, attempted to get my phone fixed, and then get my car fixed (capacitor). Well every appointment and meeting ran over by a lot and my day of relaxation and doing homework slowly ended up being a zoo! I was supposed to have a relaxing massage at the end of this day too.
Weeeellllllll, since school has started my chiropractor thinks my neck is going to fall off lol and I have tried to schedule bimonthly massages at the massage clinic in addition to my bimonthly chiropractic treatments. But headaches, aches and pains are still occurring quite frequently. And while it’s not a professional massage it is USUALLY pretty darn close and helps so much! But in the day of craziness, of course, it was sub par. Blurgh!
The day ended up pretty awesome with a nice walk and some hot tea as a break before my homework. Or rather before I attempted to do homework all night. So today I am TIRED, and feel like the walking dead… pretty befitting of the day. One of my favorite holidays. And I dressed to fit the occasion :D

Feliz Dia De Los Muertos!

  1. Not 100% sure its possible for a neck just to fall off, and im sorry everythings so sore, but on behalf of the guys shorter than you (or just as tall, on a good day) thank you for not being 5'11 anymore ;) Your day sounded pretty crazy, but in the end it sounds like you had a pretty nice day off :) thank god for walks and large chai tea with some non fat mocha vanilla somethin-or-others with a scoop of sugar :)sounds like you might have benefited from staying home and having a longer walk ;) hope your day gets as beautiful as you are! It is sunny outside ya know, just dont mind the chilly weather... You should check out some remote starts next time your in the vacinity of that car place ;)
